Lodging Kit Company works with Hilton Supply Management to offer the Room In A Box®. Within this agreement, Lodging Kit Company has had the privilege of kitting multiple ground breaking properties including The Conrad in Orlando Florida. This project detailed 433 Rooms over 7 Floors and 6 total deliveries.
We worked with Hilton Supply Management to organize and track the in room operating supplies and equipment with our consignment kitting model, receiving in 75 total kit components per room and checking them over for damages and shortages before beginning the kitting. There were three different room kits for this project, and each room had 5 boxes total. Each kit type was color coded and labeled with the floor, room number, kit type, box numbers and contents.
The palletization for this project started as per box number to send to property. This detailed each pallet having the same box # per kit type. All of the bath kits were placed on the same pallet, the bedroom kits, etc. etc. This allowed the property to grab one box per pallet for each room. However, after the second delivery, the customer had reached out hoping to pivot and adjust how the rest of this delivery was palletized. We then pivoted and repalletized this project by floor and room number as well as room type. We then had a few rooms per pallet so the property and install team could pull the 5 boxes per room they needed without needing to go to subsequent pallets.
